Colebrook Housing Society

Funding and Research Development Worker (22.5 hours per week) £19,000 (pro rata)

To work with Colebrook’s funding strategy and business plan and pursue new funding streams regarding unmet needs and foster new partnerships across the city of Plymouth. This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

Interview: 5th March 2010. REF FRDW/JC

Support Workers (Full Time) £16,000 - £17,500

To provide support to people with a range of support needs, but primarily mental health and learning disabilities initially, in a variety of settings dependent on team. This is a 1 year fixed term contract with the possibility to extend, funding permitting.

Interview: 2nd March 2010 REF SW/JC

Closing date: 5.00 pm Wednesday 17th February 2010

Community Involvement Worker (22.5 hours per week) £17,500 (pro rata)

To work with the communication and engagement strategy of the Local Involvement Network (LINk) and Plymouth Advisory Partnership for Older People (PAPOP), and support members to get more actively involved, gathering health and social care feedback and promoting the LINk / PAPOP to local communities. This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

To provide basic support to a range of people on a pre-agreed basis.

Volunteers wanted



LINk / PAPOP / PIPS Volunteers

We are also now recruiting volunteers who may be interested in the following services:

Plymouth LINk (Local Involvement Network) is a network to improve health and social care services. Become a LINk Ambassador, a member of the Visiting Team or help us to run the service.



PAPOP (Plymouth Advisory Partnership for Older People) is committed to improving all services for people in Plymouth who are 50 and over. If you are 50 or over and would like to get involved we want to hear from you.



PIPS (Plymouth Involvement and Participation Service) aims to improve mental health services for users and carers. We want to hear from service users and carers who would like to get involved in this network and represent the views of people who use mental health services. REF LPV/JC



Management Committee Members (Voluntary)

The voluntary Management Committee has a broad membership, including clients, who ensure effective governance of Colebrook Housing Society. The Management Committee meets 8-10 times a year and the Annual General Meeting is held in September of each year. We are currently looking to recruit new client members and members with a legal, property or diversity background. Carers Champions Service Volunteers

We are also keen to hear from people who would like to volunteer in our Carers Champions Service. This includes opportunities to support social events, help at Drop ins etc. For more information please email Mary Partridge, Social Inclusion Manager at carers@colebrookhousing.co.uk REF CCSV/JC



We offer support, training and pay expenses to people who get involved in these opportunities.
